The Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (Amrap) is a community radio initiative that works with musicians and community broadcasters to get great Australian music national airplay, faster.
Amrap offers services for signed and unsigned Australian artists, major and independent record labels and all community radio stations around Australia.
In 2011 alone:
- 100+ Australian labels and 800 selected unsigned musicians added music tracks to Amrap's online music catalogue - AirIt.
- 1,000+ radio users (broadcasters & music directors) from 200 stations Australia wide ordered more than 60,000 tracks for airplay from AirIt.
- 400+ CD Australian CD releases were selected through our CD Mailout Service and 20,000 copies were distributed to community radio
- Seven stations were given our new Amrap Pages service to promote the Australian music they air through their websites and social media. _Over 30,000 Australian music videos were displayed on station Amrap Pages to match many of the Australian music artists that were aired.
Impressive numbers, but more importantly... a lot of impressive new Australian music getting to radio!
Amrap is funded by the Department of Broadband, Communication and Digital Economy through the Community Broadcasting Foundation and is managed by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia.
