 The AirIt Unsigned Initiative is one of the ways unsigned artists can interact with community radio. Amrap's AirIt is a free music distribution service available to eligible Australian record labels and eligible unsigned artists.
Hundreds of broadcasters and music directors from community stations nationwide use AirIt to discover and air new Australian music. Major and indie labels add tracks to AirIt daily. Amrap’s AirIt Unsigned Initiative gets your music in the mix to increase airplay opportunities on community radio. Anyone can view AirIt at www.airit.org.au, but only registered community radio users can log in to AirIt to preview and order your music for airplay. |
If your music is added to AirIt you'll recieve a monthly report indicating which stations and programs have ordered your music to air.
ELIGIBILITY
For the purposes of the AirIt Unsigned Initiative an unsigned band or artist is defined as "not having a recording contract or licensing deal with a record label. Artists and bands that have created their own label solely to administer their recorded works are also eligible as unsigned artists."
Please Note: Amrap is no longer distributing albums / EP’s / singles with a release date that falls 12 months from the date the artist lodges the CD with Amrap. Music released before this date generally isn’t considered to be contemporary for the purposes of Amrap’s AirIt unless the release is being re-distributed at the time of an extensive national tour, music award or award nomination. Redistribution is considered by Amrap upon its relevance to community radio at that time.
If you are signed to an independent record label, the label must register with AirIt. Please direct them to the labels page. Once the label has registered they can authorise you to add your tracks to AirIT.
We have a special initiative for Unsigned Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders, Christian musicians and Ethnic & Multicultural musicians from emerging communities.
